Abu Dhabi follows the same federal standards as Dubai with 70% front side and 50% minimum on rear and back windows. The extreme heat in this region makes even the 50% allowed in the rear feel like a practical minimum, and many drivers max out what's legally permitted. Like Dubai, reflective and mirrored films are off limits, so focus on high-quality non-reflective heat-rejection films.

Your car's factory glass already blocks some light (usually around 70-80% VLT). When you add tint film, the combined VLT is lower than the film alone. For example, 35% film on 75% factory glass gives you about 26% combined VLT. The calculator above does this math for you.
