On current Range Rover, Defender, and Discovery models, check the driver's door jamb first. There's a label with vehicle data including the paint code. On some models, the code is on the radiator core support under the hood or on the VIN plate.
Land Rover uses different sticker locations across generations. If the door jamb doesn't have it, pop the hood and check the area around the radiator support or the inner fender. On the Defender, it's usually on the door jamb or B-pillar.
Land Rover paint codes come in a few formats. Newer models use codes like 1AG (Fuji White), 2229 (Eiger Grey), or LRC865 (Santorini Black). The LRC prefix stands for Land Rover Color. Some codes drop the LRC and just use the numeric portion. Older models might show just a 3-digit number.
The format can be confusing because Land Rover has changed their naming conventions over the years. When you order touch-up paint, give the supplier the full code including the LRC prefix if it's on your sticker. They can cross-reference the different formats in their system.
Not every Land Rover puts the code in the same spot. Here's where to look for each model:

Start with the driver's door jamb. If it's not there, check under the hood on the radiator core support or inner fender area. The code might include an LRC prefix (like LRC865) or just be a short code like 1AG.
LRC stands for Land Rover Color. It's a prefix used on some models. LRC865 is Santorini Black, for example. Not all Land Rover models show the LRC prefix on the sticker, but paint suppliers can match either format.
On the current Defender (L663), check the driver's door jamb or B-pillar for a data label with the paint code. On the classic Defender, it can be on the chassis plate or under the hood.
Yes. Range Rover is a model within the Land Rover brand. All vehicles under the Land Rover umbrella use the same code system, whether it's a Range Rover Sport, Discovery, or Defender.
