Open the driver's door and look at the door jamb area. There's a label that says "PNT:" followed by your 4-character code. On Model 3 and Model Y it's on the B-pillar. On Model S and Model X it's on the door jamb itself.
The easier method: open the Tesla app, tap your vehicle, and check the details screen. Your paint color name is listed there. Match that name to the code in the table below.
Tesla paint codes are 4 characters starting with a P prefix, like PMNG (Midnight Silver Metallic), PPSW (Pearl White Multi-Coat), PBSB (Solid Black), or PMMB (Midnight Cherry Red). The codes are printed on the driver's door jamb sticker next to "PNT:".
What makes Tesla unique is that you don't have to crawl under the door to find your code. Open the Tesla app on your phone, go to your vehicle details, and the paint color is listed there. It won't show the raw code, but it'll show the color name which you can match to the code in the list below.
Tesla's color palette is deliberately small, usually 5 to 7 colors at any given time. Colors rotate in and out. Midnight Silver was discontinued and replaced by Quicksilver. Ultra Red replaced the older Red Multi-Coat. Check your specific model year for the right code.
Not every Tesla puts the code in the same spot. Here's where to look for each model:

Sort of. The Tesla app shows your color name (like "Pearl White Multi-Coat") but not the raw code. Match the name to the code: Pearl White Multi-Coat is PPSW, Solid Black is PBSB, Midnight Silver is PMNG, and so on.
Open the driver's door and check the B-pillar area. There's a label that says "PNT:" followed by a 4-character code like PPSW or PBSB. Or just check the Tesla app for your color name.
Tesla keeps the palette small to streamline production. Fewer colors means fewer paint line changes at the factory. They rotate colors in and out every couple of years to keep the lineup fresh without expanding it.
Yes. Paint suppliers keep formulas on file for years after a color is discontinued. Midnight Silver (PMNG) and other retired colors are still available at most auto paint shops and online.
The Cybertruck's stainless steel body doesn't have a traditional paint code since it's bare metal. If you've had yours wrapped or coated, the wrap color won't appear on any factory sticker.
